Getting Started

Sidekick is a creative tool for building and customizing pixel companions. Get started by creating your first companion.

Quick Start

  1. Go to the Build page
  2. Choose a companion mode (Trading, Security, or General)
  3. Customize your companion's appearance
  4. Set up personality and preferences
  5. Start chatting with your new companion

Customization

Your companion's appearance can be fully customized with hundreds of options.

Categories

  • Hair: Styles, colors, and accessories
  • Eyes: Shapes, colors, and expressions
  • Outfits: Tops, bottoms, and full outfits
  • Accessories: Glasses, hats, jewelry, and more
  • Expressions: Toggle moods and reactions

Saving & Presets

Your customizations are automatically saved to your browser. You can also:

  • Save named presets for quick switching
  • Load presets you've created
  • Use the Randomize button for inspiration
  • Undo/Redo changes while customizing

Note: Customizations are stored in browser cookies and localStorage. Clearing your browser data will reset your saved companions.

Companion Modes

Choose a mode that fits your needs. Each mode provides a different chat interface.

Trading Mode

Includes an insights panel, watchlist-like UI, and strategy notes area. Useful for tracking ideas and analysis.

Security Mode

Features an alerts panel, risk notes section, and scan summary area. Oriented toward security-focused workflows.

General Mode

A clean, simple chat interface with an optional profile card. Great for everyday conversations.

Note: Mode is set when you create a companion and cannot be changed afterward.

How do I save my companion?

Your companion is automatically saved when you complete the build wizard. Customizations are stored in your browser.

Can I change the mode after creating a companion?

No, modes are locked per companion. Create a new companion if you need a different mode.

What browsers are supported?

Sidekick works best in modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Is my data stored on a server?

No, all companion data is stored locally in your browser using cookies and localStorage.
